<p>All you have to do is take half of the side length, square that number, and then multiply it by $\sqrt{3}$. That's the area. For example, the area of an equilateral triangle with side length $16$ is...</p>
<p>$$8 \times 8 \times \sqrt{3} = 64\sqrt{3}$$</p>
