Equivalent Equations Exercise

Equivalent Equations are a pretty simple concept. They are, for all intents and purposes, the exact same equation, even if they might look different:

Example 1

$$x=11$$

$$x-3=8$$

$$4x=44$$

The three equations above are the exact same equation. We got the second one from the first by subtracting three from each side and we got the third one from the first by multiplying each side by 4.

Example 2

$$5x+7y=28$$

$$2.5x+3.5y=14$$

The two equations above are the exact same equation. We got the second one from the first by dividing each term by $2$.
